Children’s Yoga
Why Yoga for Children?
Growing up today can feel overwhelming for children. From the pressures of social media to the demands of tests and exams, young people are navigating a fast-paced world filled with constant information and expectations.
Yoga offers children a valuable pause — a chance to move, breathe and connect with themselves. Through mindful movement and relaxation, children learn to notice their thoughts and feelings and respond with calmness and confidence rather than reacting automatically. These skills can support their wellbeing far beyond the mat.
In my children’s yoga classes, we use:
Fun yoga sequences and games to build strength and coordination
Breathing techniques to calm and focus the mind
Relaxation practices to reduce stress and encourage rest
Children leave feeling more balanced, energised and confident — and they have fun along the way!
With over 15 years of experience as a qualified primary school teacher, I understand the needs of children at different ages and stages. I am fully insured, DBS checked and have completed the Children Do Yoga teacher training accredited by the CMA.
